Since its founding in 1948, the Community Arts Center has been dedicated to promoting the arts throughout the entire region. The Arts Center serves more than 14,000 people each year, with year-round high-quality, affordable arts programs for all ages and abilities.
The Community Arts Center offers a full range of exciting arts opportunities, including:
- Four semesters of classes taught by experienced artists / teachers in visual arts and music
- Ten exhibitions each year, free and open to the public
- A unique Family Music Series
- Summer Spree, a summer art program for children like no other in the area
- ART to go, a highly regarded outreach program that provides extraordinary hands-on art experiences for 1,200 people each year who cannot take advantage of our regular opportunities

Life Beyond Abuse, Inc., is a grassroots volunteer-based community organization which offers support and treatment to all members of the cycle of abuse. Life Beyond Abuse provides the opportunity for all members caught in abusive cycles to initiate and continue life changes that will substantially reduce or eliminate abuse in their lives.

Philadelphia Cares mobilizes volunteers to address the critical social,
educational, and environmental needs in the greater Philadelphia region
through volunteer action. The organization designs hands-on projects that
are scheduled on evenings and weekends, and completed in a few hours. These
projects build productive partnerships between volunteers and the community,
creating a path to service uncluttered by traditional roadblocks. As a
result, volunteers deliver thousands of hours of service to our community
every year. Every month Philadelphia Cares uncovers community needs and
designs projects that address those needs.
